There are two primary installations for curtains which are poles and curtain rails. Curtains hung on rails can be independently fixed, combined with a pelmet board or fabric covered lath. Pelmets tend to fall into three categories of swags and tails, valance and pelmet. Different curtain headings will create distinctive looks. Roman Blinds
Roman blinds are a simple looking fabric panel when down, which creates lovely neat pleats when they are drawn up. They are suited to almost any window and can be both internally and externally fitted. They can be designed to be discrete or make a bold statement as a window treatment. They require less fabric than curtains making them more economical and can embellish any window within a space. They can also complement curtains and pelmets, creating a very lavish and opulent feel to a room.
Stacked Roman Blinds create horizontal folds that stack evenly behind each other. This particular style is suitable for a recessed window using small pleats to maximise the daylight entering a room.
Cascade Roman Blinds create a waterfall effect and are longer than standard blinds when fully open. Although they can be fitted internally to the window, they are better when fitted externally to maximise daylight. They are especially great when fitted above smaller windows to create an illusion of a taller window. They bring a fresh modern look to a room and allows for more of the fabric to be seen which is especially suited to bolder patterned fabrics.
