Everything begins with your windows, your light, and the way you live in the room. Whether you prefer flowing, full-length curtains or neat, tailored blinds, we'll work together to find the right solution, not just for how the room looks, but for how it feels to be in it.
For sitting rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms where you want warmth, softness and a sense of occasion. I can help you decide how far they should fall, just touching the floor, breaking gently, or pooling for a more glamorous, generous effect. These choices matter more than you might expect; they change how a room feels.
The heading, how the curtain attaches to the pole or track, shapes the whole character of the drape. Pinch pleats (fabric gathered into regular, stitched folds) are classic and elegant. Wave headings (fabric hanging in continuous S-shaped curves) offer a clean, contemporary line. Eyelet (fabric threaded directly onto the pole through metal rings) work well for a relaxed, modern feel. We'll look at your windows, will you want poles or curtain tracks? Do you have your own fabric, or we will look through the pattern book together to find what works.
Lining protects your fabric from sun damage and improves how curtains hang. Interlining (a soft, brushed cotton layer sewn between the face fabric and lining) adds warmth, weight and body' 'transforming how the curtain drapes and helping it hold its shape beautifully over time. It's particularly worth considering for period properties, north-facing rooms, silk or fine fabrics, and anyone who feels the cold.
From crisp, upholstered pelmets that add architectural definition to soft gathered valances for a more romantic feel. Pelmets hide tracks beautifully while adding height and presence to your windows. I make them in styles ranging from structured and contemporary to gently shaped traditional designs.
Tiebacks hold curtains open in graceful curves, letting light flood in during the day. I make fabric tiebacks from matching or contrasting material, plaited rope styles, and simple elegant designs that complement your scheme without competing with it.
Roman blinds suit spaces where full curtains aren't practical, above radiators, in bay windows, in kitchens or bathrooms. They pull up into neat horizontal folds and can be lined, interlined, or blackout for bedrooms.
I make Roman blinds by hand, with careful pattern matching, gentle folds, and reliable hardware. They can stand alone for a clean, tailored look, or layer behind dress curtains for something softer.

The details that complete a room. Often it's these smaller elements that tie everything together, linking colours and textures so the space feels considered rather than assembled.
Scatter cushions, bolsters and seat pads made to size. Pick up colours from your curtains or introduce a new accent to the scheme.
Clean, tailored pelmets to hide tracks or add architectural definition, from structured contemporary styles to soft gathered valances.
Simple quilted throws, runners and bed cushions to carry your fabric choices through to the bedroom.
I work with a wide range of fabrics, from simple cottons and linens to soft velvets, wool blends, and designer prints from houses like ILIV, Casamance, Mesia, James Hare and Kai.
During your home visit, we can look at how different cloths behave, some float and filter light, others fall in generous folds and hold a stronger shape. The aim is always the same: to find a fabric that feels natural in your room and comfortable for you to live with, day after day.
Already have a fabric you’ve chosen? I am very happy to work with it. Whether it comes from a previous project or a specialist supplier you have selected yourself, I regularly make curtains using clients’ own fabrics, applying the same level of care, expertise, and attention to detail as I do with those I source.
